police用法

　　指警察時往往前面有定冠詞the，指“多個警察”時，前面有時有數(shù)詞，有時沒有�？梢哉fa few police，six or sevenpolice。例如：

　　We have reported the matter to the police.

　　我們將這件事報告了警察。

　　Several hundred police were on duty in the street.

　　幾百名警察在街上執(zhí)行任務(wù)。

　　注意：police作主語時，謂語動詞應(yīng)該是復(fù)數(shù)形式。例如：

　　The police are looking for the little boy.

　　警察正在尋找小男孩。

　　policeman 是可數(shù)名詞。復(fù)數(shù)形式是policemen，說“一個警察”通常用“a policeman”。例如：

　　If you want to know the way,ask a policeman.

　　如果你想要打聽路怎么走，可以去問警察。
