because與because of
1.because是連詞，后面接從句，作原因狀語(yǔ)從句，通常不與so連用。例如：
(1)I do it because I like it.我做這件事是因?yàn)槲蚁矚g。
(2)We didn’t enjoy the day because the weather was so awful.因?yàn)樘鞖馓愀饬耍覀兺娴貌挥淇臁?/p>
(3)He didn’t attend the meeting because he had too much work to do.他因?yàn)橐傻幕顑禾�，沒(méi)來(lái)參加會(huì)議。
2.而because of是介詞短語(yǔ)，在句中一般用作狀語(yǔ)，可置于句首和句末，后面接名詞、代詞及名詞性短語(yǔ)。常用來(lái)表示引起事件發(fā)生的直接原因。例如：
(1)I had to move because of my job.因?yàn)楣ぷ鞯脑蛭业冒峒摇?/p>
(2)Because of illness, the boy did not go to school.因?yàn)樯�，這個(gè)男孩沒(méi)有去上學(xué)。
(3)They had to stay at home because of a heavy rain.因?yàn)橐粓?chǎng)大雨，他們只好呆在家里。
(4)The boy was late for school because of the heavy traffic.由于堵車，這個(gè)孩子上學(xué)遲到了。
3.because of 和because的意思都是“因?yàn)椤�，區(qū)別在前者跟短語(yǔ)，后者跟從句。例如：
(1)They didn’t go to the museum because of therain.他們因?yàn)橄掠隂](méi)去博物館。
(2)They didn’t go to the museum because itrained.他們因?yàn)橄掠隂](méi)去博物館。
